Turkish born Zeki Bay met his New Zealand born Lebanese wife, Tracey Jamelia Farry in London and so started a love affair with each other and with Middle Eastern cuisine. Zeki and Tracey had spent their working life up to that point in the hospitality industry, and shared a passion for cooking. Soon after they met they opened their first restaurant in London and began an exciting journey, creating a menu that fused flavours and tastes from all over the Middle East.
Together they have taken the shish kebab to a whole new level. Grilling their shish over hot coals, they have transformed this popular takeaway option and its various accompaniments into a gourmet cuisine, with their own unique blend of tastes, flavours and sauces that have become addictive for their many customers. Over the past 20 years they have opened restaurants and cafes in Dunedin, Christchurch, Hamilton, Pukekohe and Central Auckland which they have now sold on.
Deciding to take a break from the hectic lifestyle of running restaurants, but wanting to keep their popular cuisine alive, they have opened a deli kitchen where their famous blend of tastes and flavours can still be found.
